We are delighted to announce the launch of oSoTL—an open access and open peer review journal for the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning. The ethos of the journal is collegiality and open scholarship, with the aim to make submissions as accessible as possible—substance follows form!
The editors are keen to create a first issue that showcases this ethos and the different forms SoTL can take, from traditional research papers, or posing a provocation for wider debate: share your SoTL story!
Authors may submit any form of writing that suits their work. We have no minimum word count but suggest to not extend above 8,000 words (excluding references). The deadline for submitting to the inaugral issue is 15 July 2021.
While we expect authors to adhere to academic standards like referencing, there is no rule which referencing system you ought to use, so long as it is consistent within the text.
If you are interested in submitting something more experimental please get in touch with the editors (firstname.lastname@example.org) with a description of your idea. We welcome, for example, visual or multimedia representations with accompanying critical narratives.
We are also looking for reviewers! Please register here if you’d like to be involved in this exciting new journal.
